What are the Best Bottom Freezer Refrigerator and French Door Refrigerators?
The new trend in modern refrigerators is the bottom freezer and french door refrigerators. These refrigerators are specially designed to place the most used items within easy reach. They also easily accommodate large plates or dishes as you have the whole width of the refrigerator available. If you tend to use your refrigerator more than your freezer, then you should consider getting this fridge.
These two types of refrigerators are cousins. They can be separately categorized; but, these two refrigerators can sometimes be the same.
To clarify, a bottom freezer refrigerator means that the freezer is located at the bottom of the refrigerator where it is usually pulled out like a drawer. The distinction is in how the refrigerator doors are arranged. If it is a single door, then it is a bottom freezer refrigerator, and if it is two doors, then it is a French door refrigerator.
The Definitive Guide to the Best Bottom Freezer and French Door Refrigerators Chart
A few things to consider when looking for the best bottom freezer refrigerator for you
Look for a freezer that pulls out like a drawer, exposing the contents at a glance. Because it is not at eye level, this is an important feature.
Look for freezer compartments that come with baskets, drawers, and other dividers to help you easily organize the freezer compartment. Because the freezer is a drawer and not a shelf, it can sometimes get difficult and inconvenient to see and retrieve all of your food from the freezer. With proper the good organizational structures, this helps eliminate most of this problem.
3. French Doors
Not all bottom freezers come with French doors, but you should at least consider it. They give an upscale look as well as minimizing the amount of cold air that escapes as you only need to open one door to retrieve the contents. Also, it doesn’t require as much room to open the doors.
Advantages of a Bottom Freezer or French Door Refrigerators

The layout of these types of refrigerators puts the food and beverages that you use most often within easy reach. If you use the freezer, this is great because it puts the less used items below and the most used items above. Now you don’t have to kneel over to get your food consistently.
2. More room
Because the fridge portion is double wide, you can now fit all of those large party platters or pizza boxes very easily.
