LG LFC21776ST - 20.7 Cu. Ft. Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator - Stainless-Steel Review

Pros: 

The LG LFC21776ST Counter Depth French Door Fridge provides cabinet depth sizing with french door fridge functionality, all in a slick stainless steel style. There is plenty of door storage and the LED lighting provides more than enough light to illuminate the fridge.

Cons: 

There is no built in filter for the ice maker. This means you will have to install the filter on the outside behind the fridge. Also, for the price it doesn’t offer that much space. It is only meant for 2-4 people. If you have more people in your family you will need to get another fridge on top of this one or get a larger model. Furthermore, some of the storage bin designs were not well thought out for practical use.

Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LFC21776ST is very roomy and convenient for a counter depth fridge, especially considering it is under 69″ tall. A lot of counter depth fridges try to make up the lost space in depth by making them taller; however, this can make it very difficult if you are on the shorter side to reach the top shelves. The fridge comes with some great features and looks such as sliding shelves, overall appearance, LED lighting, door alarm, and on/off switch for the ice maker.

This fridge is really quiet too!

Probably one of the quietest tested. The only thing you can hear is the ice maker willing water for a short time and it dropping ice.

The door bins are nice and wide allowing you to easily accommodate even your largest of mild jugs.

Now to some of the negative features in this fridge. Simply put, the bin design is not the best. There are 4 drawers to hold your food. The top row has 2 medium size drawer with a small drawer in between them. On the bottom is deli drawer. The small bin can only hold small items like small fruits and vegetable. Most of your items will not be able to fit in it.

It would have been better if the small drawer was taken out and the two medium sized drawers were made a little larger. I can understand that the engineers thought it would be a better feature to have more, but more doesn’t always mean better. Especially when the more can not be practically used. The deli drawer is also not that tall. This can make it difficult to impossible to fit platters in it.
However, I do like that the deli drawer comes with its own temperature control allowing you to store your meats at a colder temperature than the rest of the refrigerator, which is much better for storage.

Despite these minor concerns, if you are looking for a fridge that functions well, looks great, and doesn’t take too much room in your kitchen, this counter depth model is a great choice.
