Pros

For the price, this fridge is a great option for the budget conscious buyer. It provides plenty of storage space, is a solid design proven design, and has the great stainless steel side by side look. Furthermore, the water filter is located in the front grille making it easy to replace while not taking up a lot of room inside the fridge.

Cons:

There is no cold water tank in the fridge. This means that your water comes out way to warm. We measure it at around 60 F. Also, the ice dispenser is splatters the ice when dispensing. When checking out other people’s review of this fridge, this seems to be a pretty common problem with this model unfortunately.

The Whirlpool WRS325FDAM side by side refrigerator is a great budget friendly refrigerator. If you are looking for easy access to both the freezer and fridge sections and if you use both the fridge and freezer equally, this could be a great option for you.
What really makes this fridge stand out is the value you get for the price. At its extremely low price, it provides all of the basic features you would expect and quite a bit more.

First, its stainless steel front looks great, automatically giving your kitchen a professional feeling. Many people complain that stainless steel makes marks easily, and that is true. But with this Whirlpool 3162A Stainless Steel Clean and Polish, that should not be a problem at all.

Maybe we here at Best Fridge Review are a little biased, but we really think that the negative trade offs for stainless steel are so minimal when compared to the great overall look you get.

The interior lighting really impressed us as well. It is a soft LED light that still brightly illuminates your whole fridge making it easy to see all of your items inside. This type of light doesn’t give you the much harsher incandescent light found in other fridges.

The last thing that really stood out to us was the nifty placing of the water filter. It is neatly tucked away behind the front bottom grille of the fridge. Now you don’t have a difficult time replacing it because you don’t have to move your whole fridge when putting in a new water filter. Also, because it is tucked away, it doesn’t take away any valuable fridge space like in other models.

What are some of its biggest problems?

The biggest one that we noted is that the ice tends to fail out easily and spill on the floor. This was caused when you are dispensing crushed ice. The fridge makes too much ice and the next time you try to dispense the ice it falls out. This can be dangerous as you could slip on the water on the floor.

Another big fault we noted was that the fridge does not dispense cold water. It seems that Whirlpool didn’t think it was necessary to put a small cold tank in this fridge to hold the water. We measure the water being as warm as 60 degrees F. It appears that the fridge just dispenses room temperature water forcing you to use the ice if you want cold water. This would be fine, but seeing as cold water is a standard feature in fridge’s now a days, it seems like a very big oversight by Whirlpool. Not everyone wants ice in their cold water.

Overall, if you are looking for an affordable side by side refrigerator that looks good, automatically dispenses ice and water, and provides ample storage space, this side by side refrigerator might be for you.
